5/5/16
Today we set up our blog website.
5/6/16
Today I worked on describing what an ROV is and the components and description of ROVs. I had to look online to find details on real ROVs and what components they have. I leaned a lot about what an ROV is and what its usages are. Next class we will do our interview and hopefully we will start building.

Today I worked on filling in my absent team members on what they missed and what they need to do. We had our interview about the ROV whit Mrs. S. Then I watched the videos on how to solder then I started practicing soldering with Rachel. We started building a light up board and soldering the connections. The only challenge was the soldering iron didn't get very hot. Next class we are finishing the light up board then staring on the main circuit board.

Today I worked on soldering the control box and making the wire lead. The only problem was the soldering iron not getting hot enough. Next class I am going to finish the control box.

Today I finished the control box then helped with the thrusters. I helped waterproof the motors and put together the propellers. There was a problem with getting the propellers to grip on the vice grip and getting the containers to close with all of the wax. We used a wet paper towel to get friction on the vice grip.

Today I worded with Quinn and Marie on our grabby appendage. We figured out that we can use kitchen tongues and hydraulics syringes to open and close the tongues. We bought tubing, tongues, tape and syringes and we got it mostly finished with installation. We had problems with rolling up the tape measure.
5/24/16
Today I worked on getting the hydraulics but together and filled with water. We tested moving the ROV and the hydraulics. I taped the tether together and put the Velcro on the ROV for the camera. We could not test picking things up because we could not see due to not having the camera. Thursday we are going to the pool to start the test.
